As I am writing you this week, I am coming off a super busy week. I told you last week that I am stepping away from Jamelle Sanders International. You will still receive the newsletter and I will still write on various media platforms. However, you will see a less visible presence of JSI in the coming days. I am currently transitioning into a new chapter in my life and I am so grateful for everything that JSI has been able to accomplish. More importantly, I am grateful for the lives that have been touched and impacted over the years. May the lessons I have shared continue to resonate and empower you to reach your greatest potential. I sincerely appreciate your love and support over the years. I am extremely excited about the next phase of my life.

Have you ever been told that you cannot do something? Does the voice of fear ever speak to you and try to restrict you to a box? Have you really discovered what you are capable of? If you have followed my work, then you know I have been told many times what I cannot do. I was told I could not start a business. Then I was told my business was too ambitious. Others told me that my message was not important and nobody wanted to hear what I had to say. I look back on a lot of those comments now and I laugh. While my business encountered lots of challenges, I can still look back on it and celebrate all the success. I was able to accomplish so much and to reach people all over the world and that is not an easy thing to do. I won multiple awards, wrote numerous books and was featured on some of the largest media platforms in the world. It is safe to say that I am not a person that likes being told what I cannot do. Never allow anybody to set the standard for your life. Always raise your standards and reach new heights of success in life. Essentially, you are your only limit.

Fear is a very real emotion that we have all experienced at one time or another. I have been blessed to be on some incredible platforms with some very influential people. While I may have looked poised and confident on the outside, I had to silence voices of fear that were speaking loudly on the inside. I am proud to be a trailblazer. I have been willing to blaze trails and set the tone for others through my life and work. Many people admire and respect the things that I have been able to accomplish. However, one thing that people do not understand about successful people is that they still face the same struggles as you. In fact, those struggles are often magnified because of the influence that they have. I have had to talk to myself many times and remind myself of all the victories that I have experienced. In addition, I have had moments where I have enlisted the help of mentors and advisors to help me confront fear and experience breakthroughs in my life. I do not want you to feel bad because you experience fear. It is natural to experience fear and apprehension. On the other hand, it is not natural to become imprisoned by fear or to surrender to fear. When fear shows up you must be willing to confront it. You will never dominate what you deny. Address the fear, act in the face of fear and you will achieve remarkable results. Fear will come but you do not have to live your life under the control of fear.

For a long time, I was a slave to fear. I knew that I was not born to live a mediocre life. Everything in me knew that I was made for more. However, fear had so paralyzed me that I was in jeopardy of forfeiting my potential. Then I had a powerful moment of awareness. I discovered that I would never know what I was capable of if I did not have the courage to move beyond what was comfortable or convenient. So when I felt panic or anxiety I made a decision that I was going to move through it. In other words, you never allow emotions to become the enemy to the elevation of your life. A better tomorrow must become more important than choosing to live in the bondage of today. One thing I know for certain is that courage will unlock your capacity for greatness. When I made the decision to be courageous, unlimited greatness was the reward. I was able to do things I never imagined possible. Ceilings were shattered, cycles were reversed and new frontiers were conquered. Do not settle for a safe life. Safe may provide you comfort. However, safe will never result in a life that contributes to the world in a profound way.

In closing, the next time fear tries to tell you what is impossible I want you to declare in faith was is possible for your life. Stop allowing the conditions in your life to constrict the possibilities of your life. You are not bound by your situation. You are only bound by your limited belief system. When you stop living in fear you can start living by faith. You do not need absolute clarity to take action. All you need is the audacity to take a step in the direction of your future. Every step you take in faith brings you closer to the fulfillment of your promise. Can’t is not a word that exists in the vocabulary of champions. Winners always frame the context of their lives in potentialities and possibilities. I dare you right now to declare yes you can!
