More Than a Conqueror!

As I write to you today, I am coming off of a very busy week. I am working on a major project in my business. Also, I had a lot of commitments last week. It was a very productive week and I was able to make a lot of progress. I hope that your week was productive as well. It is amazing how fast the second quarter is going. You have to work with fervency and focus if you want to be fruitful. Do not be deceived into believing that success is a magic formula. I’ve discovered over the years that success is about mental fortitude. Devote yourself daily to creating a life of excellence. Demand more of yourself and refuse to settle for mediocrity. It’s time to live the maximized life!

Are you stuck in a cycle of frustration and failure? Have you been entertaining thoughts of defeat? Do you believe that you are more than a conqueror? I know what it is like to be stuck in a cycle of frustration. It is a paralyzing feeling that we have all experienced at one time or another. It is disturbing to feel stuck and like you are not making any progress in your life. I’ve often spoken openly about my own journey and feeling stuck. In fact, I just had to deal with that feeling a few weeks ago. Thankfully I have matured and learned how to maneuver through those seasons more gracefully. However, you never want a season of feeling stuck to turn into a lifetime of being stuck. Often times when we are stuck it is a prophetic announcement that transformation needs to take place in our lives. Instead of complaining about what is not working, this is a time where you should challenge yourself to embrace the next level. Pressure is often a sign that we are being invited into a new process. While transformation is never an easy process, the reward of enduring the process is growth, maturity and manifested greatness.

Defeat is a word that I just cannot accept into my vocabulary. Maybe that is the reason that I have been able to see extraordinary victories in my life. No matter how difficult the journey has been, I have refused to allow defeat to be an option for my life. I have endured great opposition and pressure. However, I have always seen my opposition as an opportunity to progress and reach my greatest potential. Essentially, I believe that defeat is a decision. Defeat is not part of the DNA of a champion. When you understand that you were born to win, you do not sit back and allow adversity to rob you of victory. Champions allow their trials to become the catalyst to triumph. In other words, defeat characterizes the life of the person that gets knocked down and refuses to get back up. You may be pressed on every side but you must never give up. Difficulty is simply developing the disciplines in you that will produce an overcoming life. You do not have to settle for loss in your life. Push your limits and experience a life of total victory!

Regardless of what it looks like, you are more than a conqueror. A few weeks ago I do not know if I could have made that statement with the same level of surety. However, after I spoke with my mentor, I knew unequivocally that I was a conqueror. More importantly, I walked away from that conversation knowing that I possessed everything that I needed to press into the next season of my life. It is not enough for us to simply go through things. Ultimately, it is more important that we gain treasures through our trials. Allow your adversity to strengthen you and stretch you. Anything that we come through in life without wisdom weakens the foundation of our lives. Honestly, I have reached a place of maturity in my life where I can truly say that every adversity has made me better. My trials have both equipped and empowered me to excel in any environment despite the circumstances. Conquerors do not see themselves through the lens of their trials. Instead, conquerors see themselves through the lens of victory. Conquerors have the ability to stand on top of what was sent to stop them. Conquerors have the ability to defy what was sent to limit them. Conquerors have the ability to supersede what was sent to suppress them. Conquerors allow tension to become the tool that empowers them to rise to the top.

In closing, I have so much more that I could say about being a conqueror. My life is filled with examples of what it means to triumph in the face of opposition and see victory. I do not know what you are facing today but I know that you are not hopeless and you are not defeated. May these words strengthen your resolve to keep going, keep pressing and keep progressing. Life was never meant to dominate you. The Kingdom is within you and you were made to dominate life. When defeat tries to call you, I challenge you to challenge defeat and create new victories in your life. You may have been knocked down but you have not been knocked out. Defeat is not acceptable for conquerors. See yourself as an overcomer and nothing will be able to oppose you. You are more than a conqueror!
