As I write to you this week, I am coming off an extremely busy and hectic week. This week was filled with projects and assignments for me. Hopefully, you had a productive week as well. We are now in the month of June and so far it is off to an amazing start. Yesterday, was a major milestone for Jamelle Sanders International. JSI turned eight years old on yesterday! From humble beginnings, JSI has grown into a brand that is loved and respected by people all around the world. I want to take a moment and thank all of you for your support over the years. Honestly, without your support JSI would not have made it this long. This week is a celebration of a vision that continues to expand!
Have you allowed yourself to be defined by opposition? Are you positioned for divine opportunity? Will you dare to defy the odds? As you know, Jamelle Sanders International just celebrated eight years of empowerment. Many of you may not be aware that JSI is in the middle of a major transition. It was my objective to have a major announcement for you this week. However, due to my very busy schedule, everything was not in place to make that announcement. I know many people that have allowed opposition to define them. In fact, I know from personal experience that it is not very hard to allow opposition to start defining your life. If you have followed my life and work, then you know I have faced immense opposition as an entrepreneur. My business almost collapsed on three different occasions. Thankfully, I was able to persevere because I refused to allow the opposition to define me. Honestly, months ago I already had this planned out in vivid detail. This was going to be my final letter to you and an announcement that JSI was officially closed. I was exhausted, frustrated and had no intention of returning to this space. After prayer, reflection and great wisdom from mentors in my life, I found the answer that I needed and I made the adjustments. I cannot share it with you just yet because it is not quite ready. However, what is coming is so much better than anything I could have ever imagined. Opposition is not always an indication that you are doing something wrong. Often times opposition is a prophetic indicator that you need to make midcourse adjustments on the road to destiny.
I believe that the first five months of 2018 have truly been about positioning. As I have spoken with key leaders and mentors in my life, alignment is a word that I continued to hear. I believe this word is very important for all of us in 2018. Many times we are frustrated and fatigued because we are not in the right formation. Pressure and opposition should produce alignment in our lives. Unfortunately, pressure and opposition often produces abortion in our lives. Alignment is not just a cute catchphrase. Alignment means that you have to come into formation with God’s future for your life. Self-ambitions and vain pursuits will never bring your life into divine alignment. One thing I know from experience is that you have to be positioned for divine opportunities. Many people are praying and hoping for opportunities that they are not ready for. How do I know that they are not ready for these opportunities. You are not ready for anything that you refuse to realign for. Adjustment is the catalyst to the actualization of your dreams. JSI is the product of my decision to remain divinely aligned. Your alignment determines your advancement, access and abundance. Divine alignment will cause all of the doors to open in your life.
When I look back over my life, I can truly say that I have defied the odds. When people laughed at my business, I make a decision to silence the laughs with action. Critics told me my mission was too ambitious but now I have influence all over the world. Self-doubt and the inner critic told me that no one would ever pay attention to my message. Now, I have been featured on some of the largest media platforms in the world. The odds have often been stacked against me. I have had to trust God every step of this journey. It has been hard and extremely challenging. I’ve cried, prayed and seen God’s hand move in extraordinary ways over the years. Despite all of the opposition I have faced, I am glad to say that I am still standing. Jamelle Sanders International is still here and my life is still making a difference. You do not defy the odds by accepting defeat and wallowing in disappointments. You defy the odds by taking the cards you have been dealt and translating those cards into championships. No matter what life has thrown at me, I have made a decision to never quit. I have pushed myself when I felt like I did not have anything else to give, I have encouraged and inspired others even when I was discouraged and disappointed. I have learned to find the good even in the grief of my life. On this anniversary of Jamelle Sanders International, I can truly say that the safest place in the world is in the perfect will of God. I do not know what God’s perfect will is for your life. However, I urge you to find God’s perfect will for your life and protect it. There is no peace or fulfillment outside of God’s will for your life. Essentially, God expects you to be somewhere and you will be empty until you live from that place of significance.
In closing, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to those of you that have been with me from the beginning. From an idea, Jamelle Sanders International has grown into something that I am very proud of. I am so excited about the future and I cannot wait to share what I am working on. Many of you feel like you are in the furnace of affliction. However, I want you to know that you can come through the fire without even smelling like smoke. I am living proof that you do not just have to survive but you can thrive. You do not have to live a life of containment. You can push your limits and live the life of your dreams. It does not matter what cards you have been dealt in life. Take the hand you have been dealt and create something extraordinary. Your circumstances do not have to define your life. Your courage in hard times is what truly defines your life. You can defy the odds!
