Look Again!

Well, we have finally come to the end of the first quarter of 2018. It is hard to believe that we are already three months into 2018. I hope that as you look back over the last three months you were productive. More importantly, I made a decision that in 2018 I did not just want to be productive but effective. It is time to eliminate everything from your life and schedule that interferes with your effectiveness. You can continue to make excuses or you can choose results. Nevertheless, life is moving and you need to maximize every moment of opportunity that comes your way. If you are feeling frustrated about the last three months, now is a great time to refocus and reposition for greater results. Your life is being defined by your decisions and shaped by your disciplines.
Has your vision become obscured? Has hopelessness crept into your life? What do you need to look at again? I do not know about you but I know about obscurity. I sound deep and profound now. However, when I was in the middle of obscurity it was a very painful time in my life. I was frustrated, fatigued and I felt like giving up. The pit of my despair was so deep that I was doubtful that I would ever fulfill prophetic destiny. The voice of defeat was loud and it was almost impossible to shake it. I know it does not sound very good. However, I have learned over the years that it is in the fire that God forges great champions. Everyone wants to take center stage but nobody wants to experience crisis, challenges ,and contradictions. The reality is that when you choose to fulfill prophetic destiny you invite war into your life. I know that many of us try to be peacekeepers. However, destiny will require you to unleash the warrior in you and fight. You can give up and throw in the towel but that will never produce victory in your life. Obscurity is not a sign of defeat. Obscurity is simply a prophetic announcement that you have been destined for greatness. Obscurity is not designed to cripple you. Instead, obscurity is designed to unleash the champion on the inside of you. When we encounter obscurity it becomes difficult to stay focused on the vision. Your present reality starts to speak louder than prophetic destiny. During these times you must remind yourself that your temporary pit will not threaten the promise of your tomorrow. It may not look favorable right now but if you will stay in the fight you will come out victorious.
Next, hopelessness will try to creep into your life. If you have read my autobiography, then you know about the seasons of hopelessness that tried to destroy me. Almost daily I hear from people around the world asking for the secret to my success. While I could offer a myriad of different responses, I know that God is the ultimate secret to my success. Without Him, my life would be meaningless. However, the other thing that has contributed to my success is the cultivation of my mind. I’ve been called the revolutionary thinker by many around the world. It is a distinct honor that I am very proud of. My ability to think at an uncommon level has given me influence and respect with people all over the world. The only cure for hopelessness is faith. Faith is not about religion or tradition. Faith is being anchored in a belief system. It is developing a way of thinking that produces consistent wins in your life. When you understand the power of your mind, you will refuse to spend another day of your life in prison. As my paradigm shifted I started to prevail in the midst of great setbacks. I found myself standing on top of things that once stifled me and threatened my progress. Faith is not mental assent. Mental assent will never bring you out of your valley. On the other hand, faith is an undeniable conviction. Where there is conviction you will always see change. Whatever influences your thinking will shape your life. Stop wishing for transformation in your life and start getting whole in the way that you think.
I feel like I have a prophetic word for someone today. Some of you have given up. You have given up on your dreams. You have given up on your vision. Unfortunately, some of you have even given up on your destiny. What we fail to understand is that God’s timing is perfect. Often times we are waiting for everything to click before we step out in faith and obey God. We want perfect conditions before we say yes to fulfilling the call on our lives. However, that is not how things work in the Kingdom. God sits outside of time and He is not governed by it. We focus too much on how long and not enough on who we are becoming. When you rush the process you arrive at the destination prematurely. When you arrive prematurely power corrupts you. God is not as interested in your promotion as you think. God is more interested in your process. Promotion without preparation makes you illegal. I do not know who this is for but I hear God saying that you need to look again. I know that it seems like the odds are stacked against you. You have even told yourself that there is no way you can come out of this. I see you crying and feeling defeated. Some of you have even given up on life. You have settled for an alternative reality. However, right now I dare you to look again. To look again means to see the possibilities of what your life can become. See that your dreams are not dead and your destiny has not been aborted. See that you were not born to live an ordinary life but an overcoming life. See that what tried to break you was only birthing a champion in you. What you thought was lost was only the seed for greater in your life. Today I am challenging to look again. Stop looking through the lens of your circumstances and start looking through the eye of faith. Your situation is changeable and surmountable. Faith swallows up impossibility and makes victory inevitable.
In closing, I sense this so strongly as I am writing. I believe that these are more than mere words. I believe that life is coming into you as you read this. Hope is being restored, faith is rising and the champion is being awakened in you. I want you to know that you are not trying to make it but you have already made it. Stop looking at the magnitude of your challenge and instead see the magnitude of your breakthrough. You are not going to give up and you will not give in. You are going to contend and come to the other side of this season in your life. Look again and see that God is fighting for you. When God is fighting for you I have discovered that it is impossible for you to fail. It’s time for you to look again!
