For Such A Time As This!

As I write to you, I am coming off of a very busy week. I cannot say that 2018 has been a slow year at all. Every single week has been packed with lots of things to do and that is a good thing. I hope that you are having a great start to 2018 and accomplishing your goals. We are only a few weeks away from ending the first quarter. This is a true litmus test of your productivity over the last three months. A lot of people have a good talk but they have very little action. Honestly, I can say that I have been very productive and I am on track with my goals for the year. If you want to achieve greatness, you have to be willing to break cycles in your life once and for all. Stop living your life in panic mode and start living on purpose. You should not have to be constantly trying to make up for lost time. Success is about knowing how to position yourself for opportunity.
Are you living on purpose? Have you discerned the power of this moment in your life? Do you know you have been born for such a time as this? This week was a productive but challenging week for me. Personally, I was in deep thought and dealing with a great internal conflict. I was trying to make some important decisions about the future. However, the more I looked at the outcomes of each decision the more pressure I felt. It was exhausting and it was a very draining process for me. I know that I am in a major time of transition in my life. I have to make some adjustments and I know that adjustments always come at a price. Unfortunately, the more I pontificated the more I realized that the opportunity costs of some decisions were greater than I could personally afford to pay. All of this was going on internally and I found myself very fatigued. Also, I know that my decisions impact more than just me. So I always have to stop and weigh what the consequences of every choice will be. It is a painful process but it is necessary if you are ever to fulfill your purpose. I believe that this is a process that we should all engage in before we make important life decisions. While it was very tedious, I was able to find resolutions about the next season of my life.
I’ve discovered over the years that most people are not living on purpose. When I first started writing books and doing media everyone was talking about purpose. However, as I listened to many of the experts I discovered that many of them had no clue about purpose. They were saying things they heard from someone else. However, nobody was able to share personal experiences about the journey to purpose. I saw this as a unique opportunity to capitalize and add value through my work. I quickly learned that many were resistant to the message. People were not truly interested in finding their purpose or fulfilling their destinies. Most people were simply interested in gathering information and feeling temporarily motivated. Honestly, I quickly became disgusted and questioned if I was truly on the right path. I had answers but it was challenging to find an audience that was receptive to the answers I had learned on my path to purpose.
If you have followed my work, then you know I believe greatly in the power of moments. I believe that every major victory in my life has been the product of discerning the power of a moment. On the other hand, every major defeat in my life has been the result of my inability to capitalize on a moment of opportunity. I talk to people all the time that are wasting their lives. They are running from conference to conference to learn some new exciting truth. Unfortunately, they have not realized that success is not found in much searching. Success is simply being prepared and perceptive of opportunities when they arise in your life. Until you learn how to discern the power of a moment you will never experience a life of success and prosperity. Most gurus and experts will not tell you this. Why? Most of them have no clue about purpose and destiny. More importantly, they are simply interested in selling you another course and getting you to join another online mastermind. Too many people are just looking to sell you success formulas without providing you with a success foundation. It is something that disturbs me as I look around the world today. Integrity is very important to me in my work and it is becoming a lost art.
This week I asked myself a very important question. Will I continue on this path? Or is it time for me to change directions? I am grateful and proud of the work that I have done over the years. However, I also know that there is much more than God is calling me to. One of the things I have learned over the years is that greatness never goes on sale. When I started my business years ago I had a great vision of providing solutions that would change the world. I poured my life into creating products, producing content and writing books that would change lives. As time has passed, I realize that it is not enough to have a great vision. When people do not value the work that you do the vision becomes halted. So now I am in a state of redefining and rediscovering what is next for my life. I am sure many of you reading this can relate to it. I want you to know that you have been born for such a time as this. Learn from my mistakes. Do not waste energy pouring into places that never discern your value. Stop wasting time catering to places that have no regard for the treasures in you. It is costly and it can make you abort your destiny. Now more than ever before you must discover the why of your life. Every moment you live without a strong why your life is weakened. Time is designed to serve your purpose. When time does not serve purpose your existence becomes meaningless. This is the reason so many people are living miserable lives. You were not created just to take up space. You were created for significance. It’s time to reconnect with God’s original intention for your life.
In closing, I hope that my words over the years have in some way had an impact on your life. I do not write because I do not have anything else to do. I write because I know that there is a lack of substance in the world. The world is filled with so much superficiality and not a lot of substance. I go deep because I want to provide answers that help bring clarity to your life. You cannot afford to keep living idly. It is time to become more intentional about how you live your life. Do not waste moments and abort opportunities. Understand that you have been born for such a time as this. There is something that you possess that has the power to change the world around you. Do not settle for the status quo. Instead, challenge yourself to stretch and manifest your greatness. You’ve been brought to the Kingdom for such a time as this!
