As I write to you today, I can say that the Thanksgiving holiday was great. It was awesome being surrounded by family and friends. Also, I will admit that I probably overindulged during the holiday. It is the one time of the year that all my favorite foods are available. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and that you enjoyed time with your loved ones. The holiday season is in full swing and in just a few weeks we will be ending 2017. Take advantage of the moments that you have left. It is time to shift out of holiday mode and back into work mode. Focus on the important over the urgent. Many of the things that try to demand our attention are nothing more than distractions. Concentration is a secret of every champion!

What is victory to you? Are you tired of living in defeat? How can you create a life of victory? Honestly, I think we all have different definitions of victory. If we were to do a survey, I guarantee you that we would get a variety of different responses. The reality is that victory is defined by your paradigm. In essence, how you view your world will determine the level of victory that you walk in. I do not know many people that would boldly say that they do not want to live a life of victory. However, these same individuals are saying no to victory every day by their actions. We can say that we want a lot of things. However, your will always exposes what you really want. The direction of your life will always follow your strongest desires. That is why it is vitally important for you to define what victory is to you. Never allow another man's definition to set the direction for your life.

Most people will tell you that they are tired of living in defeat. However, I have discovered that you cannot transform what you tolerate. You are not tired of anything that you continue to tolerate in your life. The proof of change will always be reflective in your course. We profess a lot of things but we rarely change the path that our lives are taking. Defeat is a decision just like victory is a decision. Dissatisfaction is the key to changing the direction of your life. You have to stop being okay with an ordinary life. Also, you have to stop permitting passivity in your life. Tenacity will determine the territory that you possess in life. Convenience will never make you a conqueror. Mediocrity will never move mountains in your life. Victory starts with realizing that your life is a reflection of your resolve. Your resolve will always determine your results. Most people give up too easily. However, if you want to be exceptional you must develop endurance. Giving up is not part of the mindset of great people.

We have established that you need to develop endurance. However, you must also know how to engineer victory for your life. I have discovered that if you do not create your victory someone will script your defeat. You are responsible for your own success. It is foolish to expect to step into a future that you never took the time to engineer. In other words, failure is the product of not framing your future. If you want to live your greatest life you must give careful attention to your assignment. Stop waiting for success to come to you and collide with success. Nobody is just going to give you an opportunity. Doors are not just going to swing open for you because you have a dream. One of the greatest lessons you will ever learn is that the only victory you will ever experience in life is the victory that you are willing to take. What you are unwilling to seize will never be secured. When you come to this awareness it changes everything. Do not be so quick to blame others for your lack of progress. You can always trace a man's progress to his priorities. The only thing inhibiting you from success is inaction. Victory is a mindset but victory is also something that you have to map out for your life.

In closing, this is a very sobering piece I am writing to you today. Not many people will be brutally honest with you about success. We live in a world where vision and imagination abound. However, thoughts without tenacity never result in triumph. We have an abundance of ideas but a scarcity of intensity. I have discovered that your life never increases without intensity. Victory cannot just be something that we aspire to. Victory must be something that you are aggressively pursuing. Your harvest in life is not the product of what you imagine. Your harvest in life is the product of what you are willing to invest in. I want to challenge you today to invest in meaningful pursuits. Give yourself to the things that will cause you to grow and thrive. Victory is not automatic in your life. Victory is the product of great battles. It’s time to live in victory!
