Living Out of the Overflow!

As I write to you, I am coming off of an incredible week. Last week I was able to attend a powerful conference in my local area. It was a life-altering week for me. I walked away from the conference with so many insights and confirmations. More importantly, I walked away with unforgettable memories and defining moments. I have not been the same and my paradigm and perspective have changed. Life is essentially all about change. The challenge is that we often choose the security of today over the significance of tomorrow. However, as you mature you realize that you cannot hold on to former things if you want to access new frontiers. We are in an incredible season and I want you to maximize it. Do not allow the conditions to dictate the direction of your life. Never forget that your life is bigger than what you see. It’s time to embrace new possibilities!
Are you expecting more in your life? Have you made room for more? How are you positioning yourself for overflow? As we entered the month of October, I was praying about the prophetic theme for this month. During my prayer and meditation, I was sitting and reflecting when a phrase exploded on the inside of me. I heard very emphatically that this was a month of overflow. I did not think very much about it at the time. However, I noticed that every time I would go to pray and reflect I kept hearing this phrase. It finally started to dawn on me that this would be the theme for the month of October. More importantly, this would be a declaration and prophetic pathway to the possibilities that this era is pregnant with. You need to be getting ready for overflow.
One of the first prerequisites for overflow is preparation. So often we get excited about possibilities for our lives that we have not prepared for. It does not matter what you want to see manifest in your life if you have not made room for it. Unfortunately, we often fill our lives with the old and make no room for the new. It is time to stop accommodating outdated thoughts, old relationships, and old cycles. Some things do not belong in your life in this season. More importantly, some things you must detach from so that what has been destined for your life can manifest. It is never easy to embrace change in your life. However, you cannot continue to cling to the old and expect to create space for the new. What you cling to will ultimately create clutter, chaos, and confusion in your life.
Next, you have to be willing to position for overflow. It is not enough for you to prepare for overflow. You have to be willing to go to the next level and position for overflow. You have cleaned out the old in your life. However, you have to also develop capacity for more in your life. I believe that every human being on this planet was created for more. What I have discovered over the years is that more is a mentality. In other words, more is a possibility that has to dominate your mind. We think that positioning is all about physical movement. Ultimately, I have discovered that positioning is about psychological movement. It does no good to change your posture if you do not change your paradigm. Your paradigm is responsible for what you produce in your life. If you have not moved mentally, you will never manifest more in your life.
One of the most important things you have to do is perceive overflow in your life. There is nothing more tragic than to be in a place of abundance but lack awareness. We have moved into a prophetic season where abundance is available. However, most people are not aware of the abundance that is available to them. You can only partake of what you can perceive. Limited mindsets have created limited moments in the lives of so many people. You cannot settle for a cup when God is trying to stretch you for the ocean. This is the era where you must understand that your perception always determines what God pours into your life. I do not know about you but I am expecting more for my life. Not a trickle or a stream but I want to see overflow in every area of my life. Mediocrity wants to keep you living in restrictions. However, more will bring you into a life that runs over. When you run over you are empowered to be a resource to the world around you. We are shifting from shortage to fully supply in this era.
In closing, nothing about my life is the same. I have made room for more in my life. In other words, there are some things that I cannot tolerate anymore. Low thinking will always result in low living. You must perceive that there is a bigger life that has been promised to you. It is time for you to stop settling for crumbs and realize that God has placed an unlimited capacity for greatness on the inside of you. Ultimately, you know deep down inside that you were created for more. You will not experience true peace or fulfillment until you move beyond limits and start manifesting lavish abundance. Your days of not enough and just enough are over. You are stepping into an era of more than enough. Overflow is not just about filling your cup. Overflow is about your cup running over. Dare to live out of the overflow!
