As I write to you, we have officially crossed over into fall. Honestly, it does not feel like fall at all. The weather has been unusually warm with temperatures reaching the 90’s. However, it still does not change the fact that we have moved into another season. We understand that in the natural. However, when it comes to our destinies we lack the ability to properly interpret the season. We start to look at all the signs around us instead of knowing with surety what season we are in. The reality is that you do not have to live your life trapped. At any moment you can transition into greater for your life. We are officially in the fourth quarter and it is critical that you make every moment count.

Are you excited about the fall? What is your favorite thing about the fall? Have you created your fall success plan? When I think about the fall I think about the leaves changing colors. Also, I think about pumpkin pie, football and the holidays. It is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather is perfect and it signals the end of a very hot summer. Fall is a very important time. While it does not seem like much is happening in nature, the reality is that fall sets the stage for the winter season. It is during fall that plants begin to grow dormant. Also, animals begin to prepare for the upcoming cold weather. Animals use the fall to store food and travel to warmer climates. Fall also signals festivals and celebrations Fall is a time of preparation and transition. It is important to understand that every season demands something different.

Years ago I had a big aha moment. I was thinking about the various seasons in the natural. More importantly, I was thinking about how our wardrobe changes based on the season. Then it dawned on me that every season of your life will demand different garments. When you take the wrong garments into a new season you are labeled out of season. How many people are walking around out of season every single day? How many people are living with old garments because they refuse to grow and mature? While this seems like a very simple principle, it has larger implications for our lives than we think. Every season has a timetable and you must be sensitive to know when transition is coming. Every season that you fail to prepare for will produce pain.

It took me a while to realize that seasons change regardless of if I ever change. The tragedy is to become a prisoner of a season never discovering the privileges of all the other seasons of your life. I see people every day that have been victimized by a moment. They are trapped and they refuse to come to a place of transformation in their lives. Whatever has the power to haunt you has the power to hold you hostage. The world is filled with hostages that have allowed pain to hijack their lives. I am not promising you that every day of your life will be sunshine. However, I am telling you that you cannot let a moment hold you captive. You must allow every moment to mature you to embrace change in your life. You have been wearing your old garments for too long. You have been in this place long enough. The season has changed and you do not have to spend another day settling for a second-class life. When you do not change with the season you cripple the seed of greatness that has been deposited on the inside of you. Every season has a purpose. Find the purpose of the season and allow all of it to frame your success story. No season of your life is insignificant.

If you have followed my work, then you know that for many years I have been empowering people globally to create a fall success plan. It is something that I launched in my master class many years ago. Creating a fall success plan has been a major key to my success. At the end of the year, most people become lazy. The holidays come and this is when a lot of people take a vacation and spend time with family. While I am not telling you to abandon quality time with your family, I am encouraging you to make time for your goals. You are not preoccupied every single moment of every single day. We waste so many hours scrolling our phones and liking pictures. How much more productive could we be? You do not have to spend your entire holiday season working. However, you should be working on a fall success plan that will keep you focused, increase your productivity and position you for big wins. Over these last three months of 2017, I want you to find your big 3. Focus on three goals that you want to accomplish over the next three months. Write out your action plan and establish some accountability in your life. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish by December 31st!

In closing, I hope you will take me up on my challenge. I want the best for you and I want to see you win in every area of your life. However, I know that sitting by and waiting for something to happen will not change your life. It does not matter if the season changes if you never change. You were not created to live your life on repeat. It is time to create new results in every area of your life. The final thing I want to share with you about fall is something that will change your life. Fall is a time of stripping away the old. There are some things that need to be stripped from your life so you can step into the life that you have been destined to live. I decree out with the old and in with the new. Stop saying that it is too late and you do not have enough time. I am challenging you to focus and make this the greatest fourth quarter of your life. Fall is here!
