Fulfill Your Destiny!

Well, I can truly say that last week was an amazing week. Since my appearance on CBS Morning Break, I have been overwhelmed with kind words, well wishes, and inquiries about my book. It is such an amazing time in my life and in my business. I’m so thankful for all the doors that continue to open to me and all the amazing new opportunities that are emerging in my life. While I know it is a holiday weekend coming up, I want you to devote some time to your dreams. Dust off your dreams, recommit to your dreams and start designing the life of your dreams. It’s time to move from theory to creation. Your dreams are valid and it is time to start living like it!
Do you know that you have a destiny? What have you been destined to do? Will you fulfill your destiny? As I sat on the set of CBS Morning Break, I was reminded of my journey. I remember years ago hearing that I had a global mandate on my life. As the years have gone by, I have reflected on those words many times. I have also had those moments where I questioned the validity of those words. However, as I looked into those tv cameras I was reminded that destiny is worth fighting for. I have had so many moments where I could have given up and thrown in the towel. People have mocked me and criticized me for dreaming big and living with a big vision. If you are not careful, you will shrink back in fear and even scale down your dreams. However, I am living proof that nothing has to limit the possibilities of your life. Your life can be as big and grand as you have the courage to believe for.
One of the vowels I made to myself was to always be transparent about my journey to greatness. I think we do people a disservice when we do not tell them about the difficulties that will be encountered on the path to destiny. I want you to understand that you will be met with challenges and contradictions. You will encounter moments where everything seems to be opposing your greatness. You will encounter pressure so intense that it feels like you are going to break. In those moments your destiny has to become the most important thing in the world to you. If not, you will easily find an excuse to abandon prophetic destiny. What you abandon you ultimately abort. Too many people abort destiny because they expect to arrive there without difficulty. The absence of difficulty is the proof that you are not aligned for destiny. The road to destiny will be rocky. However, you will only be rewarded in life when you choose to fulfill your destiny.
One of the greatest decisions I ever made was to fulfill my destiny. You see me now and many of you have been inspired by my life and journey. However, many of you did not see the process. That is one of the reasons I speak so much about development for success. You see snapshots of my life but you do not see the seasons that birthed significance in my life. It was the silent years that molded me for success. It was the rejections that built me for greatness. It was the criticism that helped shape my character. You see me on television and you read about me in magazines. People assume that they know you and that they understand your journey. On the other hand, I am mature enough to know that most people will never understand my journey. People are attracted to your gifts but they are disinterested in your growth. The world has sensationalized success. We only want to see the beautiful parts of the journey. What I have discovered is that success is ugly. Nobody wants to talk about the failures, the disappointments, the betrayals and all the moments I was tempted to give up. Instead, people want to skip over the process and reach the platform. Shortcuts will never produce success in your life. I did not cut corners and I did not skip steps. I have done my work and that is why my life continues to have global impact. Nobody respects a quitter. Nobody mentions the mediocre. You must devote yourself to greatness.
In closing, I have never felt more alive. My platform is expanding and doors are opening. Every experience in my life has been grooming me for this moment. Fulfilling your destiny is the most important decision you can ever make. Fulfilling destiny is affirming the divine truth that there is a divine track for your life. More importantly, fulfilling destiny is celebrating the process, cultivating your potential and choosing God’s path for your life. Your plans cannot compare to God’s path for your life. As great as I thought my plans were, I realize that God’s path was much greater. You can resist God’s path but you will never manifest God’s highest reality for your life. Abuse is improper use. When you do not fulfill your destiny your life is an improper use of your God given potential. Don’t abuse your gifts. Make the decision to fulfill your destiny!
