The Next Era of My Life

Dear Empowerment Community,
As I write to you, I am just coming off of a much needed break. It was so awesome to enjoy some downtime and to spend some time reflecting. In fact, it was very important that I took that break because I could feel all the signs of burnout in my life. Over the last week, I have spent a lot of time contemplating and reflecting on the next moves for my life and my business. I have lots of decisions to make and I wanted to make sure that I was not hasty in my decision making. I have learned over the years that our best choices are made when we are centered and we have clarity in our lives.
As you know, Jamelle Sanders International has been committed to empowering the world for a number of years now. While I have faced challenges in my life, I have never faced a challenge as great as running a business. It has brought me great joy and it has also been the source of lots of stress in my life. When you are an entrepreneur you have to give so much of yourself to your business endeavors. Unfortunately, I have spent a lot of time sustaining the business on my own. I’ve poured lots of resources, time and energy into the success of my business and I have sacrificed a lot.
While I do not regret the decisions that I have made, I do know that I could have done some things differently over the years. I have not stressed the importance of partnership and alliance enough. I’ve poured out selflessly sharing wisdom and strategies to help people succeed in life and business. However, I have not demanded much in return. I realize now that this was a recipe for disaster. Much of my frustration has been the product of building a one sided relationship. I have provided enormous value but I have not called my community to action enough over the years.
I’ve built this brand from nothing to what you see today. Influencers and leaders around the world respect my voice and trust my message. I’ve been so fortunate to write six books. In addition, I have won numerous awards and been featured on major media platforms. However, I still know that I have not even scratched the surface of the potential of my business. Thankfully, I took some time away to think before I just made a decision. The tone of this letter was going to be very different. I was going to announce to you the permanent closing of Jamelle Sanders International. More importantly, the closing of a chapter in my life. However, that is not the best course of action at this time.
I’m speaking with mentors and advisors in my life about what is next for my business. One thing I know for sure is that Jamelle Sanders International will operate differently in the future. No longer will JSI be known as a life coaching or business consulting firm. I told you a couple of years ago that we were in the middle of a major rebranding and restructuring. JSI is an empowerment media company devoted to empowering leaders and entrepreneurs for success. While I am proud of the work that I have done, there is a dissatisfaction within me. I know that there is more for me to do and greater impact to be made in various spheres of influence.
In particular, I have a strong desire to hold more forums and conversations around leadership development, leadership transition, succession in leadership, leadership crisis, self-empowerment, economic empowerment, wealth creation and more. I’m working with my advisors on the best avenues to make this happen. In addition, we are working on a strategic plan to expand the platform and reach of this message into more places in the coming days. Stay tuned because everything about the brand is getting ready to change for the better.
In closing, I thank you for your support over the years. It means the world to me that so many of you have continued to believe in and support my vision. While this journey has been very difficult, I am grateful for the lessons and experiences because they have helped shape who I am today. It is important for you to understand that one is not enough to succeed. I attribute all my success to great coaches and mentors in my life. I am who I am today because of them. With that said, the future of Jamelle Sanders International is great. However, the future of this organization will require greater partnership. Partnership is a word that has lost its significance in the world today. Partnership is not just a financial commitment. Partnership is making a life investment in something that is bigger than you. The next era of Jamelle Sanders International will demand Global Empowerment Partners. I want you to consider partnering with this organization.
