Well, we have officially come off of a holiday week. I hope you enjoyed the Fourth of July for those of you that live in the United States. I had a great day with my family. Freedom is such an important thing. I’m truly thankful to live in a country where freedom is a way of life. Unfortunately, I talk to people all the time that do not enjoy the liberties that we in the United States often take for granted. We must never forget that liberty is the most valuable thing in the world. Protect your liberty and always defend it. In addition, we are now in the second week of the third quarter. I hope you have a plan and that you are already making progress on your goals. After all, dreams do not manifest because we hope. Dreams only manifest because of hard work. Go after the life you want!
Are you still pushing for success? Or have you become passive in your pursuit of a greater life? What is mediocrity costing you? As you have probably heard me say before, in the third quarter of the game positioning is key. We can comprehend that when it comes to sports. However, for some reason, we do not understand this concept when it comes to life. I want to have straight talk with you for a moment. We are halfway through 2017. Hopefully, you can say that the last six months of your life have been productive. On the other hand, if you have not been productive then you need to position yourself for greater results. It is not enough for you to talk about how your life is going to get better. You must dare to make the moves that will empower you to manifest your goals. We like inspiration and motivation. However, I believe that motivation that does not convert to momentum will simply reduce your life to mediocrity.
According to the Oxford Dictionary, to push means to exert force on (someone or something) in order to move them away from oneself; hold and exert force on (something) so as to cause it to move in front of one; move one's body or a part of it into a specified position with effort. Ultimately, pushing is not a passive activity. In order to push it requires effort. Too often we rely on excitement and emotion. What I have discovered is that excitement and emotion will fail you. If you want to succeed it will require effort and energy. You will only be effective in what you devote energy to. The key to elevating your life is exerting energy in the direction of change. Where there is no exertion of energy you will find the extinction of dreams.
Many of you reading this have been in a major battle. In fact, you have been feeling a strong urge to quit or throw in the towel. Adversity is not a sign that you are on the wrong track. Adversity is a sign that you are close to prophetic destiny. This is not the time to be discouraged or disillusioned. Now more than ever before you must push. Push beyond your comfort zone. Push beyond complacency and convenience. Be willing to push your way into new possibilities for your life. I’ve discovered over the years that your life is the product of what you have the courage to push for. Anything you are unwilling to push for will never be present in your world. Pushing may not be comfortable but it will produce change in your life. Pushing can also be painful but it always produces progress in your life. You have to be willing to be inconvenienced in order to increase. Many of you are one push away from your promise!
In closing, I know that this is resonating with so many of you. You want to excel in life. However, you have bought into the myth that everything will be easy. Nobody promised you an easy life. However, if you will develop a mentality of endurance you will produce an effective life. We want to spend all of our energy praying for a better life. While I am not opposed to prayer, I know that you have to push for it more than you pray for it. I am not telling you what I read in a book. I’m telling you what I have lived. I have spoken openly with you about the adversity and failures I have faced on my journey to greatness. You cannot faint because you experience a moment of failure. Make the decision to bounce back and break through every barrier to your success. The reward of pushing is a life of progress, prosperity, and amazing possibilities. No matter the price you cannot afford to stop persevering. Push your way into prophetic destiny!
