Born to Win!

As I write to you, I am coming off an extraordinary weekend. I enjoyed my family this weekend and I hope you did the same. If you missed our Empowerment Call last week, you missed an amazing night of empowerment and transformation. I shared key strategies for thriving in any capacity of leadership. I hope you will join us next month. I’m in the middle of promoting my new book Chosen: Strategies for Revolutionary Leadership. It’s my sixth release and so many of you have been responding so well to the book. It’s part of my legacy and it is going to transform the lives of leaders all around the world. I am grateful for this moment and the love and support that you have shown me. I believe that you have been chosen to do something great in your generation.
Did you know that you were born to win? What wins have you experienced in your life? What lessons have your wins taught you? Essentially, I believe that every human being on this planet was born to win. You have overcome great challenges and defied the odds. Your life is the proof of perseverance in the midst of great opposition and pressure. In addition, you have overcome everything that has tried to oppress and oppose you. No matter how powerless you may feel, I am here to remind you of how powerful you are and that no force has the power to prohibit your greatness. You do not have to go around feeling pitiful and looking for sympathy. You possess the power to shift your life and reshape your moments. I cannot tell you how many blows I have been hit with in my life. However, I have not allowed those blows to break me. In fact, I have discovered that I can only be bound by what I bow to. I have refused to bow to pressure, circumstances, conditions or even opinions of me. Instead, I have resolved to allow pressure to propel me into prophetic destiny. The first step to mastering your life is not being moved by the things that are coming up against your life. Refuse to be moved by what you see, hear, feel or experience. Your belief system should shatter barriers.
The world is filled with people that have accepted defeat. I don’t want that to become the story of your life. I have lived there and defeat is not a good place. What I have learned over the years is that defeat is a decision. You can live in your adversity or you can live in your authority. However, you cannot live in both. Your strength does not come out of your desire for sympathy. Your strength comes out of your decision to not be shaken by things that would attempt to destroy your life. Winners have learned a secret to life. You cannot create an overcoming life until you first collide with everything that is trying to overcome you. You were not created to run from life. You were created to engage life. Engagement is the womb of elevation. You will never break free from what you refuse to face. The first key to winning is making the decision to show up in life. You have to stop getting missing and start mastering your life. Absence is the womb of abortion. You have to be present if you want to consistently progress.
In closing, I believe that winning is not something that you do. Over the years, I have discovered that winning is who you are. Victory is in your nature. Too many people have taken on the role of a victim. They have let life happen to them. However, you were created to reign in life. You cannot crumble because you encounter pressure. Pressure is part of life. You will encounter adversity on the journey. Adversity was never designed to define you. Adversity should empower you to advance in destiny. Winning is a mindset that you must embrace. You can keep telling your sad story or you can thrust your way into a new season in your life. Something you are tolerating is sabotaging your triumph. When you stop accepting the lies of defeat you will start living in dominion. Champions do not accept defeat. Recognize you were created to live on top. Your days of frustration and failure are coming to an end. You were born to win!
