Well, we have just reached another milestone for Jamelle Sanders International. This weekend JSI turned eight years old. Honestly, I have mixed feelings every time my business celebrates an anniversary. It has been a roller coaster ride for me and I am intrigued that the organization is still around. In the early days of my business, I encountered more adversity than you will ever know. If you read my autobiography, then you know I went into great detail about the failures and disappointments of being an entrepreneur. It is not all glitz and glamor. Entrepreneurship has highs and lows and that is the part nobody wants to talk about. Nevertheless, JSI is still standing and we are celebrating eight years of excellent work and impact all around the world.

How has JSI weathered the storms? Why is impact so important to me? What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind? These are all questions that I ask myself on a regular basis. I believe that questions are windows into new possibilities in life. The key to your next dimension in life is often disguised in a question. Too often we are afraid to ask the very questions that will produce advancement and abundance in our lives. I’m challenging you this year to stop being afraid and start asking for what you truly want. I believe that JSI has weathered the storms because of faith. I cannot tell you how many times I have wanted to quit or throw in the towel. However, when you are pregnant with a divine dream you do not get derailed by distractions or disappointments. When you are pregnant with something bigger than you, I have learned to just bulldoze my way through every barrier to breakthrough in my life. Impact is important to me for a number of reasons. First of all, impact is important to me because it is the only thing that will produce an intentional life. We live in a culture that is only concerned with building the empire of me,myself and I. Very few people possess a sincere heart to reach beyond themselves and make a difference in the world. My assignment is global. While success is good, for me it is all about service to humanity. Through my work, I always intend to sow seeds and speak messages of empowerment that shift and transform lives. From humble beginnings, I never imagined that message would resonate with so many people all around the world. It takes maturity to lead with an impact mentality. Only a servant will step out of the way so that others can shine and unleash their significance in the world. Impact is important to me because one person cannot do it all. However, when you empower others you create the capacity for greater imprints to be left on the world.

Everywhere I go people ask me about legacy. There is not a day of my life that goes by that legacy is not on my mind. In fact, it is the only thing that has kept me going at some of the most difficult times in my life. Knowing that my life is not my own was humbling. I realize that I cannot serve my own interest and agenda. I have been put on this planet to revolutionize lives through an uncommon message. Everybody will never understand my message, my life or my work. Nor can I ever expect everyone to see the value in what I do. However, there is one thing I will always do and that is stay true to what I know God put me on this planet to do. It has not always been easy but there is an incredible reward in obedience to a divine call. Right now, I am promoting my brand-new book Chosen: Strategies for Revolutionary Leadership. This book could not have come at a better time. It is part of my legacy. I want to raise up leaders of character and influence that make an indelible mark on the world. That to me is a fulfilling life.

In closing, I want to take a moment and sincerely thank every person that has believed in, supported and invested in Jamelle Sanders International. I want you to know that your support has meant the world to me. I don't know what the future holds for this organization. However, I promise that I will remain faithful and focused on my mission of empowering the world. This journey has been the most difficult experience of my life. I’ve wanted to walk away so many times. Every time I feel that I cannot go on any longer God encourages me. He encourages me through the stories of lives touched by my work all around the world. I’m encouraged when I see people reading my books and experiencing transformation in their lives. I am encouraged every time someone thanks me for making an impartation in their life. Thank you so much for standing with Jamelle Sanders International all these years. I believe that even greater things are store for this organization in the years to come. Legacy is not built in a moment. Legacy is built through our mastery of the moments in our lives. I’m committed to building an uncommon legacy!
