Start the Year off Right!

First of all, congrats on making it through the first week of 2017! I hope that your first week of this new cycle was purposeful. My week was quite busy with lots of new projects and assignments. However, I made it my intention to work with purpose and passion and I had a really productive first week. Sadly, by now many people have already started to abandon their goals and have returned to life as usual. I do not want that to be the case for you. Maintain your momentum and make this is the year that you maximize your potential. It will take much more than excitement to excel in 2017. This year it will take a commitment on your part to live consciously and with capacity.

Are you starting your year off right? Or are you repeating the same patterns of 2016? How can you make this the greatest year of your life? I am all for motivation and inspiration. However, I know that it takes much more than that to change your life. Everybody is talking about inspiration right now. I see all kinds of content on goal setting and making your vision a reality. All of those things are good. On the other hand, I know that emotion and good intentions are not going to cause you to live at the next level. 2017 is a year that you must dedicate yourself to doing life well. What do I mean by dedication? You must consciously choose another path if you want to see change in your life. Too often we want to continue on the same route and expect to see different results. The reality is that only a change in direction will result in a change in destination. If you want to go where you have never gone before then you must be willing to travel a new path. A new path will be scary at first because it will seem like everyone is going in a different direction. You will be criticized and condemned for taking a different route but the results will be phenomenal. I am sure you have heard me say this before but I think it should be repeated. How you enter a cycle will determine how you end a cycle. Change happens the moment you commit the heart to an objective. Stop talking about what you are going to do and start doing it. 2017 needs to be a year of action in your life. When you do not commit the heart to an objective change is hijacked in your life. So many people in the world today think that pure emotion will result in an elevated life. The reality is that purposeful effort will propel you into elevated living. Starting the year off right is moving from how you feel to a place of uncommon focus in your life. Concentration is going to be the catalyst to changing your life in 2017. Starting the year off right is more than a slogan to me. It is a tactical approach to thriving, advancing and accomplishing all your goals. The dimension you live from is always determined by your diligence. This year be diligent to have an agenda for every day, to embrace next level relationships, to commit to continuous growth in your life, to take action daily on your goals and to bring your best to everything that you do. Do not allow efficiency to rob you of effectiveness in 2017. When you bring your best to everything that you do brilliance is expressed. It’s time to do life well in 2017!

In closing, my greatest desire for you in 2017 is that this year will be unlike any other year in your life. When you get to the end of 2017 I want you to have a sense of accomplishment. This is the year that you will advance and you will experience an abundant life. It does not matter what happened in the past. You have a clean slate and a new opportunity to live your greatest life. Refuse to allow the pages of 2017 to be filled with regret. This year write a winning story for your life. Make the most of every moment and manifest your destiny. When you make the decision to do life well you flourish and you experience true fulfillment. 2017 is the year that you will redefine and revolutionize your life. Start your year off right!
