The Value of Life

As I write to you, I have just come through a very difficult week. My great uncle transitioned to heaven on last week and his celebration of life was this weekend. It has been a very emotional week for my family. While we are thankful for the years that we had with my Uncle James, it is obvious that a huge void is being left by his transition. The thing that has brought me the most peace is knowing that he is in the care of God. Also, I have drawn strength from all the wonderful people that have been praying for me. I spent a lot of time this week thinking about the value of life. Life often seems like a vapor and if you are not intentional your life can easily become a vacuum. Only a person of clarity and conscientiousness can truly discern the value of the precious gift of life.
Do you value your life? Or have you spent most of your life pursuing vanity? Are you living each day with vision? As many of you already know, I just released my fifth book Unbreakable: The Unbelievable True Story of Jamelle Sanders. It is my autobiography and a very detailed look into my life and the experiences that have made me who I am today. So many people have been anticipating the release of this book and I am so excited that I get to share it with the world. I have learned so many lessons that have empowered me for success. However, I think one of the greatest pieces of wisdom that I can share with the world is to value this wonderful thing called life. It is a theme that resonates throughout my book. Also, it is a lesson I was reminded of as I saw my great uncle in his final days. I often think about how we major on minor things. We give so much attention to trivial pursuits not understanding that time is precious. No matter what stage of life you are in, we must always be conscious of the fact that life is fleeting and that we must live each day of our lives with focus. One of the powerful things about my life is that my experiences have produced incredible perception. I have been so blessed to be able to understand the value of moments and to maximize them in my life. Ultimately, life is a series of moments. You can choose to fill those moments with misery or momentum. The choice is yours but I choose to live my moments with meaning. At the end of the day I have learned that moments are pregnant with manifestations. If you want to maximize your greatest potential in life it will be because you chose to perceive the significance of a moment. Moments that are not discerned manifest disappointments in our lives. Do not waste a lifetime pursuing meaningless things. Protect the moments of your life and choose to invest your time and energy creating precious memories.
In closing, this has truly been a week of reflection in my life. I know the value of life. However, I am concerned about the state of the world. We are so busy and disconnected that we are often blind to divine moments of opportunity. Do not allow life to pass you by without living with depth and perception. Death has a way of putting things in perspective. Do not waste your life pursuing vanity. Live each day with a sense of vision. I believe that one of the greatest keys to living an unbreakable life is understanding the value of life. As I share my story, I hope that it will awaken you to the fact that you have been born for a purpose. I desire to see every human being connected to their calling and living out their mission. After all, what my journey has taught me is that our moments should serve our mission. Do not throw your life away. Do not pursue anything more than you pursue God’s purpose for your life. Life is a vapor. If you want to be a major voice in your generation learn the value of life.
