After a very long but productive week, I was really pondering what I should write to you about. I was looking over my calendar and planning out the last few weeks of this quarter. Sadly, so many people have totally fallen off of the wagon when it comes to their goals. They were excited the first few weeks of January. However, as emotion faded and reality set in many returned to life as usual. It is very important to understand that enthusiasm will never engineer a successful life. Enthusiasm without an executed plan will simply produce failure in your life. This year can be different but it starts with a commitment on your part!

Have you drifted from the goals you set at the beginning of the year? Have you allowed the conditions of your life to confine you? What commitment will you make to experience a greater life in 2015? The reality is that the greatest reason we stop is because we do not have a strategy. We have a lot of momentary excitement but no mindful execution to manifest our goals. Drifting is moving through life with no mission, momentum or manifestation. Drifting is dangerous and ultimately causes us to abort our dreams. So many people in the world today are drifting. Drifting is the proof that you lack direction and discipline in your life. Drifting produces a miserable life and causes us to miss out on so many great moments. In this season you cannot afford to drift. This is a season of development. You need clarity of mind, a clear mission and consistent momentum. Without these forces 2015 will be another cycle of failure in your life. Drifting too far will ultimately defraud you of your future. Now is a great time to identify why you have drifted and what is causing you to drift in your life. You cannot just acknowledge it but you most place accountability in your life. Strong concentration creates successful cycles. Commit to focusing on what truly matters in this season of your life. Distractions cause us to drift. Distractions take our eyes off the big picture by using immediate circumstances to interfere with urgent change. Drifting is allowing the temporary to rob us of transformation.

In closing, I have so much I could say to you about drifting. However, what I want you to remember is that focus is a powerful tool. So many times condemnation robs us of change in our lives. If you have fallen off the wagon then get back up. Do not start feeling sorry for yourself. Commit again to things that you want to accomplish this year. Just because you have been delayed does not mean you have been denied. One of the greatest things about disappointment is that it does not have to defeat you. Within every human being is the power to keep going. If you don’t settle for what you see right now you can embrace a new season in your life. When the going gets tough make a decision to keep going!
